Janpath is a name of Indian origin, translating to ‘the path of the people’. Now before you go there let me tell you that you should really learn bargaining, especially if you are not a local or coming from foreign, because the vendors might increase their price when they see you being new there. One of the bargaining tactic I know is pretend to disagree with their price and begin to go away, 80 out of 100 will call you back and let you buy according to your desired price, well the other 20 are brats, they will let you leave.

The cozy environment of this place won’t let you leave, It is filled with bustling streets, little food stalls at every corner, don’t forget to drink lemon soda for a refreshing walk.

Personally telling I have never travelled by metro alone till this sunday just because I think if you want to really explore a place slowly and without yapping, just some hours with yourself and vibe of that place, you should really try GOING ALONE.

Yeah so I went alone by metro and got lost (I am literally laughing right now).

Near the gateway I was greeted by this

If you like statement jewellery pieces you should really visit JoCard Jewellery Shop. They have amazing pieces and I’m pretty sure you’d like a lot of their jewellery. They also sell crystals but you’d likely get those after every 2 shops.

Shop Name- JoCard

Shop Number- 55

When I tell you that Janpath has really beautiful accessories and jewellery items, I am not hyping anything, It’s all true.

It takes me a lot of time to finalize what I want to buy, but here I wanted to buy everything.

At Malik handicrafts you can get souvenirs, amazing chess boards, even tiny ones (the size of your hand). They have very wide brass collection of gods and wooden handicrafts.  The shop is so colourful from inside. They also have hanging decoration items like vintage clocks and clay dolls, which you can buy to decorate your home. Also, I liked their handcrafted chess boards a lot.

I found some really beautiful gift items like hanging mirrors and colourful hanging lamps made of brass, key rings, fridge magnets,  you can visit Monga Gift House if you are coming to Connaught Place for some souvenirs shopping.

Shop Name- Monga Gift House

Shop Number- 64

Aren't these bags too pretty to be hanging there?

I really hope you had fun reading and I would really like you sharing your opinion on my blog and like you all discussing things in here, like

What is the most pretty thing you bought from Janpath?

With whom do you like going to this place and much more.

I have tried to make it as lively as possible, like I am talking to you face to face haha.

      1. Didn’t know that Janpath had such amazing handicrafts. The chess boards honestly really surprised me and encouraged me to go to Janpath. The photos that you have uploaded about the items sold at Janpath were beautiful and if i would have been there I personally would have purchased a variety of handicraft items as a gift for my family members.
