Triveni Kala Sangam

Triveni: The history of ancient India

Kala: Art

Sangam: Merging

Triveni Kala Sangam means merging of the history of ancient India with art. Isn’t it a beautiful name ?

So, I wasn’t planning to go there, I went to Mandi House to see the viral exhibition of Nikas Safronov- Dream Vision. But due to extreme crowd I asked someone from there to tell me another place in the same location and if it holds our Indian art inside it. So they directed me towards Triveni Kala Sangam .

Therefore, I went there. This museum holds a lot of things inside but photographs weren’t allowed. Anyway, I managed to click some wherever I was allowed.

Rajarshi Sen Gupta

Rajarshi Sen Gupta is an art historian who is an expert in making natural dye on treated handwoven cotton paintings.

He has created several paintings that surpasses average human imagination, I wish there was an explanation to every painting though.

Krishen Khanna

You’ll also see Krishen Khanna’s paintings. He is a very famous Indian artist who painted the aftermath of the pre-Partition Punjab. Instead of staying silent he transformed the collective memory into a language of healing.

Wikipedia: Krishen Khanna is an Indian painter known for his abstracted figurative artworks depicting street scenes of the country. He is a self-taught artist whose paintings showcase Indian idioms and human values.

Last but not the least

The Desi Oon Exhibition

This place held so much warmth being in the open area even during winters. It felt like I have entered Himachal. People from North India have come here to sell their kneedle felted and wet felted clothes made from 100% natural fabrics.

Well, there was one more place that I wanted to click pictures of, it was filled with creativity. Due to lack of confidence within me and also being scared of “what if someone caught me and started scolding?” I didn’t stay for that long in the area.

Lol maybe next time! Anyway, that’s how I spent my day there. It took me 3 hours to fully roam the museum and then I ate sweet potato, requesting bhaiya to make it extra spicy (I love spicy food).

Something I want to say to every reader reading this, I don’t know if you like reading my blogs or just skim through them. I appreciate you being here and I try my best to post interesting things so that you guys can enjoy it. Let me know if you like or do not like anything. Everyone starts somewhere so same for me haha!
